- The concept was first performed experimentally in Oct. 1967 at Cafe La Mama, New York, N.Y. It opened May 6, 1968 at the Sheridan Square Playhouse, New York, N.Y. but was cancelled in Nov. due to political problems at Daytop Village. It reopened at the Gramercy Arts Theatre, Aug. 21, 1969. It was revived in 1986, listed as the conception of Lawrence Sackarow, who also directed the revival.
