- Gene Saks talks about the first play he directed, Joseph Stein's Enter laughing, some of the many other comedies he has directed including six by Neil Simon, his association with Simon, his approach to directing, and the importance of casting.
- Christopher Durang discusses how he identifies with and writes dark comedies, how he came to write The history of American film and The actor's nightmare, his play Sister Mary Ignatius explains it all for you, problems involved with censorship and the National Endowment for the Arts, and the merging of laughter with violence and unhappiness.
