- Summary
- Susan Sarandon hosts this look at the lives of three women prisoners convicted of non-violent political crimes who were placed in a controversial high security unit of Lexington Federal Prison from 1986 to 1988. Human rights groups investigated and interceded, the unit was closed down and the women transferred to another prison. Uses interviews, home movies, historic footage and reports from Amnesty International to tell the story.
