- "The first ten measures of mvt. one are reconstructed by Lou Harrison from sketches for the movement made by Mr. Cowell in 1965. The same is true of of [sic] the last fifteen measures of mvt. four. The entire work was projected to conclude with a hymn & fuguing tune, no sketches for which exist."
