Local Note
The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division has two copies of the pamphlet. copy 1(accession # G127017) is a gift donated by Arthur A. Schomburg; probably added to the collection when Catherine A. Latimer was the Collection Librarian, and Curator. It includes a Schomburg Collection stamp & a late NYPL's bookplate: "The Schomburg Collection of Negro Literature and History." Imperfect: NYPL perforated stamp on the title page through page [4]; taped reinforced pages, & probably rebound in black cloth library binding, when Catherine A. Latimer was the collection librarian, and Lawrence Reddick was the Curator.
Copy 2 (accession # F838714) is probably a post a post-Lawrence Reddick addition to the collection. Imperfect: disbound, sewn and taped spine, currently housed in a commercially made 4-flap archival binder.
