- Summary
- Brief interviews with festival participants representing the five cultural groups highlighted in the festival's social dance program: Native Americans (Iroquois); white Americans from Chilhowie, Virginia; African-Americans from Washington, D. C. and environs; Bolivian-Americans; and Cambodian-Americans. They discuss their own dance forms and compare them to the dances of other cultures, share their experiences during the festival, and note the festival's contributions to cross-cultural interchange. Topics include African-American hand dancing, hip-hop, askanye (Iroquois women's dances and music), Appalachian square dancing, and the social dances of the Iroquois, Bolivians, and Cambodians.
