Includes footage of Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev in a dress rehearsal of Birthday offering (chor: Frederick Ashton, mus: Glazunov), supervised by Ashton; Fonteyn and Viktor Róna in the Gayane pas de deux (chor: Nina Anisimova, restaged by Nureyev; mus: Khachaturian); and Fonteyn and members of the Royal Ballet performing Aurora's entrée and the Rose adagio from The sleeping beauty: Act I (chor: Ashton and Nikolai Sergeev after Marius Petipa; mus: Tchaikovsky). -- The nutcracker: Excerpts (approx. 16 min.).
