Summary
Dancer Peter Schaufuss traces his career beginning with his early training and apprenticeship with the Royal Danish Ballet through his experiences with the National Ballet of Canada, the New York City Ballet, and London Festival Ballet, of which he was artistic director at the time of the interview. He also discusses Auguste Bournonville's contributions to Danish ballet and the curriculum of the London Festival Ballet School. He is seen in action in excerpts from the Don Quixote and Le corsaire pas de deux, and James's variation from Act I of La sylphide. A brief excerpt of Bournonville's La ventana (?) is also screened.
