Summary
Modern dancer Jane Comfort and ballet dancer Wilhelmina Frankfurt discuss their experiences of pregnancy, recalling their responses to the physical changes in their bodies and the effects of pregnancy on their dancing and careers. Comfort is seen in two excerpts from her film For the spider woman, made in collaboration with Neelon Crawford, which depicts her at various stages of her pregnancy and after the birth of her child. In Esoterica balletica, Ipiotis interviews Ernestine Stodelle, who expands upon quotations from her book Deep song, a biography of Martha Graham.
