- Summary
- Dancers Mary Hinkson and Zachary Solov compare today's dance training and performances with those of their youth. Hinkson recalls her experiences as a member of the Martha Graham Dance Company; Solov remembers his studies with the Littlefields in Philadelphia, and his performances in the early television shows. Citing today's increased technical facility and diminished theatricality, they attribute the change to the influence of George Balanchine. In Esoterica balletica, Frederic Franklin relates anecdotes about his partnership with Alexandra Danilova.
