- CONTENTS. - Groote Eylandt Field Project (27-1/2 min., color). Title on wrapper: Aboriginal dances. A brief voice-over introduction describes the recording project, and offers a glimpse at the music and dance score. Dances performed by the Waṉindilyaugwa are: dolphin (dengindjabäna), fighting (awiyämba), red leg (debedägbeda), curlew (duwalya), stingray (yimaduwaya), and hibiscus tree (mabanda). Dances performed by the Nunggubuyu are: brolga (gurdarrgu), a man (yiwu-yiwu or murrugu), ghost or devil (bardirrinya), and morning star (barnumbil). - Five brolga dances (14 min., b&w). No titles on film. The dances portray the movements of brolga birds. Performed by the Nunggubuyu. - Eight Aboriginal songs with didjeridu accompaniment (20 min., color). The Nunggubuyu perform three brolga songs; the Waṉindilyaugwa perform the stingray, dolphin, curlew, and west wind songs.

- Family or clan dances and songs filmed on Groote Eylandt in July 1969 as part of a recording project including music and dance (Benesh) notation. Performed by men from two Australian Aboriginal groups, the Waṉindilyaugwa of Groote Eylandt, an island in the Gulf of Carpentaria, and the Nunggubuyu of the Ngalmi clan, Numbulwar, who live in the Rose River region of East Arnhem Land.
