- Unsigned stage design for Giuseppe Verdi's opera La traviata, in a production premiered at the Covent Garden Opera, April 6, 1948. Violetta's Act I salon is depicted in chartreuse, dark blue and white. Center stage is dominated by a balcony with a balustrade. The set is framed with pilasters and arched doorways, and an elaborate chandelier hangs from the ceiling.
