Pauline Koner, born in New York of Russian parentage, discusses her early experiences in dance (Fokine, flamenco, oriental dancing with Michio Ito); her development of an individual ethnic style; her years as a concert soloist, touring the U.S., Middle East, and Russia; her experiences as guest artist with the José Limón Dance Company, for which she created roles in La Malinche and The moor's pavane; and her work with television, 1945-46.
