- Summary
- Interview (ca. 16 min.) recorded by two cameras from different angles; footage from one camera is seen followed by the entire session as recorded by the second camera. Speaking in Russian, with some English translation by interviewer Dina Makarova, Maya Plisetskaya discusses the qualities she wishes to impart to students in classes she is teaching ; the importance of musicality and the sincere expression of emotion ; her future plans ; the change in political climate at the Bolshoi, the lack there of a film archive of past performances, and Russian choreographers who have been forgotten for lack of documentation.
