- Summary
- In earlier times a sacred dance from the palace performed by four princesses, srimpi are now done outside the court. The choreography is always for four women and includes some form of refined fighting between them. Thematic aspects of srimpi are usually incidental to their formal execution, with the "aesthetic form and graceful elaborations" being most important.
