Voice-over introduction in Indonesian with printed English translation. Music: Gamelan of the Yogyanese court.

Summary
Langen Mandra Wanara (opera of the monkeys) is a Javanese dance recitative. Excerpt from the Ramayana in which Rama encounters the two estranged monkey brothers, Subali and Sugriwa, and kills (at Sugriwa's request) Subali with a sacred arrow. Dewi Tara, the cause of the trouble between the two brothers, and Laksmana (Lesmana), Rama's brother, also perform. Ben Suharto is seen in the role of Rama.
