- Summary
- Dancers are seen executing various ballet exercises with music accompaniment. However, focus is on isolated parts of the body as they contribute to the movement being done rather than on the body as a whole.
- Note
- Filmed by Peter Sova for Phoenix Films, 1977. Directed and edited by Nina Feinberg. Dancers: Lois Bewley and Lawrence Rhodes.
- The emphasis also is not on technical aspects as much as it is on the concentration, sweat, and diligence displayed by the dancers.
- Although shown without narrative, some of the exercises are preceded by subtitles. Among movements shown are grand plié, développé, petits battements, port de bras, battement fondu, adagio, tours, pirouettes, cabriolle, jeté en tournant, brisé, and chaînés.
