- Summary
- Gene Kelly discusses his background and training in dance, and the making of specific musical films he was involved with. Dance excerpts are shown from the films For me and my gal (1942), Thousands cheer (1943), Anchors aweigh (1944), The pirate (1948), On the town (1950), Summer stock (1950), American in Paris (1951), Singin' in the rain (1952), and Invitation to the dance (1956). The entire "newspaper" dance from Summer stock and the title song/dance from Singin' in the rain are shown.
