Photographs documenting some of the official functions of the Black Academy of Arts and Letters (BAAL) during the early 1970s. Includes views of the induction of Leopold Senghor into BAAL by C. Eric Lincoln and Lawrence Reddick; Lincoln, Harry Belafonte and Ruby Dee conferring; people socializing, eating and drinking at unidentified Academy functions, one possibly being an exhibit opening; and various individual portraits.
