Summary

Portraits of civil rights worker and NAACP head Roy Wilkins mainly taken during the 1950s to the 1970s. Among the images are Wilkins speaking at various press conferences; holding a meeting in his office; being interviewed by Nikki Giovanni; walking in a demonstration with Whitney Young; speaking at Medger Evers' memorial service; and giving and receiving awards. Individuals pictured with Wilkins include Clarence Mitchell, Robert C. Weaver, Arthur Spingarn, Dupree White, Guichard Parris, Edward S. Lewis, Earl Brown, Stanley Isaacs, W. Montague Cobb and Samuel Belkin. Full, half and quarter length portraits.
