Roosevelt (1935); meeting with members of an American military delegation in Ethiopia sometime after his return from exile (ca. 1941); and in a candid view sometime near the end of his reign (ca. 1970). Also depicted are views of his visit to New York City in 1954 including a parade up Broadway in lower Manhattan; meeting New York City Mayor Robert Wagner; being greeted by Rev. Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. upon his arrival at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem; and visiting the United Nations with son, Prince Sahle Selassie, and granddaughter, Sebla Desta. Portraits of Ethiopian Minister to the U.S. Ephrem Tewelde Medhen visiting Washington, D.C. in 1943 round out the collection.
