- Local Note
- The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division's copy is a post-Lawrence Reddick addition to the collection. It contains a 1940 onward NYPL bookplate: The Schomburg Collection of Negro Literature and History, and a stamp on the title page: Bibliothèque Haiti *Fisher*; It’s part of the Fisher collection. Imperfect: our copy lacks the folded illustration; bound in black cloth over boards library binding, and gilt spine.
